Who I am
Ciao my name is Elena Ceccanti and I am a qualified tourist guide for Siena and it’s provinces since 2001.
I was born in Siena in the historic hospital Santa Maria della Scala in front of the cathedral of the Santa Maria Assunta and I still live in Siena with my partner and our daughter. I decided to become a tourist guide for the love of my city when I was 15 years old. This decision brought me to complete my studies at a Linguistic High School and to study languages at the University of Siena and then to further deepen my understanding of all the historical and artistically aspects related to my profession. I also attended a course held for the Jubilee celebration, which lend me to deepen my knowledge of religious themes.
Why should you choose me? First of all, I am a highly qualified guide who has gone through the selection process and exam that certifies both my knowledge of the city and my language skills. Secondly, I was born and raised in Siena. I know the territory and its traditions from every point of view. I truly love my city and this will make it even more fascinating to your eyes.
On this site, you will find a selection of my proposed itineraries, but if you do not find anything that suits you, you may ask me to customize a tour for you according to your needs and interests.
